The Columbian newspaper in Vancouver was facing challenges in a rapidly increasing demand for services from its IT department. Also, IT support and delivery was evolving from a business as usual support department to a vital support area for critical business initiatives. VIE was engaged to perform an “IT SnapShot”.
From the findings and recommendations VIE was hired to provide part-time CIO services to help deliver on the Snapshot recommendations to include mentoring of current IT leadership. The Columbian reports a dramatic level of improvement in the satisfaction level of the IT staff, and the stakeholder departments.
