With their CIO gone for more than a year, Pacific University (PU) was experiencing challenges in managing technology resources. PU also had challenges with their ERP system. Datatel had been installed over 15 years ago and not much training had been provided to users. Consequently, users had created many shadow systems to automate many administrative and education related work processes.
VIE performed an IT Snapshot of the University’s IT organization and how well it was delivering services. VIE provided the PU Cabinet with a clear series of steps of how to align IT with expected challeges in the the University over the next 2-3 years. VIE also provided assistance in the hiring of the new CIO.
