    Manoj Garg

    Manoj Garg is a founder and managing partner of Virtual Information Executives. He brings over 25 years of senior executive leadership skills and technology management experience with domestic and international operations to VIE’s clients.

    Manoj’s prior experience includes senior executive roles in Higher Education, Technology and Manufacturing. His experience covers a broad array of skills, including strategy for and management of large-scale technology infrastructure, outsourcing, information security, and company-wide programs as well as enterprise and asset resource planning. Manoj has managed technology budgets in excess of $20M. He is noted for creating and implementing innovative solutions that assist businesses in achieving goals rapidly. He has significant outsourcing experience and has delivered successful projects in many overseas locations including Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, Australia, India and China.

    Manoj earned his MBA from the University of Rochester specializing in Finance and Entrepreneurship, a masters degree in Computer Science from University of Pittsburgh and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. He has also holds a foundation certificate in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and teaches courses at Portland State University – Communications Networks and Information Security Assurance. He serves on numerous advisory boards in the Portland, Oregon area.

    Manoj is an active member of the Oregon Entrepreneur Network, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support activities and mentoring to the entrepreneurial community to foster business growth and employment opportunities in Oregon.

    Ray Grant is a Practice Director and CIO consultant for Virtual Information Executives (VIE). He has over thirty years’ experience in technology management and executive leadership.

    Ray has worked in Higher Education, Public Secondary Education, and in the Legal Services industry. As the CIO at a university, three large multi-campus community colleges, and a large legal services firm, he has managed complex projects and has provided leadership and vision to teams of technology service providers. Ray has provided consulting services to twenty-four colleges and universities and to state government. He is extremely skilled at strategic and tactical planning, financial analysis, project planning and management, process improvements, alignment of IT investments and services with organizational visions and goals, and personnel development.

    Ray holds an MBA from Idaho State University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Idaho. He has served as a board member of the Northwest Academic Computing Consortium and the Association for Computing Professionals in Education. He has also been an active member of the Oregon Community College Information Technology Association, the Oregon Distance Learning Council, and the Colorado Higher Education CIO Council. Ray has been active in Educause for many years, where he has served on committees, authored journal articles, and given conference presentations.

    Jackie Garg

    Jackie Garg is the Director of Operations for Virtual Information Executives. She brings over twenty years of accounting, administrative, analytical, and project management skills. Her key strengths are budgeting and managing financial records, keeping account records on QuickBooks, coordinating and managing projects to ensure timely completion.

    Jackie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY with a major in Accounting and minor in Business Administration. She has served on the PTO boards of Terra Linda Elementary School and the International School of Beaverton. She is currently serves on the Board of the Indian Cultural Association and is an active member of several non-profits organizations in Portland.

    Jackie is also an artist who holds masters’ degrees in Indian Classical Kathak dance, and Tabla (drums). When she is not working at VIE, she loves to read, cook and volunteer at her kids’ schools.
