Manoj Garg
Managing Partner
Manoj Garg is a founder of Virtual Information Executives, LLC (VIE). He is currently the Managing Partner of VIE and brings over 25 years of senior executive leadership skills and technology management experience with domestic and international operations to VIE's clients.
Manoj's prior experience includes senior executive roles in Higher Education, Technology and Manufacturing organizations. His experience covers a broad array of skills, including Large Scale Technology Infrastructure Management, Outsourcing Management, Information Security Management, Program Management and Enterprise Resource Planning. Manoj has managed technology budgets in excess of $20M. He is noted for creating and implementing innovative solutions that assist businesses in achieving goals rapidly. He has significant outsourcing experience and has delivered successful projects in many overseas locations including Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, Australia, India and China.
Manoj has earned an MBA specializing in Finance and Entrepreneurship from University of Rochester, an MS in Computer Science from University of Pittsburgh and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. He has also earned the foundation certificate in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library and teaches two courses at Portland State University - Communications Networks and Information Security Assurance. He serves on numerous advisory boards in the Portland, Oregon area.
Manoj is an active member of the Oregon Entrepreneur Network, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support activities and mentoring to the entrepreneurial community to foster business growth and employment opportunities in Oregon.
Ray Grant
Practice Director - Education
Ray Grant is a Practice Director and CIO consultant for Virtual Information Executives (VIE). He has thirty years experience in technology management and executive leadership. Ray has worked in Higher Education, Public Secondary Education, and in the Legal Services industry. As the CIO at a university, three large multi-campus community colleges, and a large legal services firm, he has managed complex projects and has provided leadership and vision to teams of technology service providers. Ray has provided consulting services to twenty-four colleges and universities and to state government. Among his core competencies are strategic and tactical planning, financial analysis, project planning and management, process improvements, alignment of IT investments and services with organizational visions and goals, and personnel development.
